Upcoming Professional Development/Curriculum Planning Days

In order to best support teachers and their ability to plan meaningful curriculum and online learning for students, we have decided that Wednesday, April 1st, will be a day for staff to engage in professional development.  Teachers WILL provide a few independent activities for students, but will otherwise be unavailable for communication with students and families.  We appreciate your understanding and support.

Additionally, teachers will use the afternoon times of 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. to continue their planning of meaningful curriculum and online learning on the following Wednesdays: April 8th, April 15th, and April 22nd.

Online Learning Letter 2

March 18, 2020

Greetings Memorial School Community,

I am writing to you today as a result of the state notification that the Sanborn Regional School District will be transitioning to an online learning format.  While we can all agree that this scenario is less than ideal, supporting the safety of our students and community is a priority.  Additionally, staff have met and continue to work on providing an online learning experience to keep our students’ learning mindset current and the work that we want our students to engage in as authentic as possible.
