Memorial School-2nd Positive Covid-19 Case Update: Nov. 28, 2020

November 28, 2020

Dear Families,

We were informed today of a confirmed case of COVID-19 at Memorial School. We are actively working with and following guidelines from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), conducting contact tracing as requested.

Out of an abundance of caution following the two successive cases of COVID, we will be moving to remote learning at Memorial School, and only Memorial School, beginning Monday, November 30 through Friday, December 4, 2020.

Additionally, the remote learning schedule for next week will follow the in person schedule that students have been using these past four weeks, beginning with Morning Meeting at 8:30AM.

Any family needing a device for next week should email Ryan McCluskey, Memorial School Principal, at rmccluskey@sau17.net to arrange a pick up time on Monday morning between 8:00AM and 11:00AM. Students will not be penalized for any tardiness on Monday, November 30th, especially if a device pick up is needed.

UPDATED DECEMBER HOLIDAY BREAK NOW BEGINS DEC 21-JAN 1

The SRSD School Board Meeting made some changes to the calendar around the upcoming holiday break. There will be no school for any students on December 21 & 22, 2020. The last day of class for all students will be Friday, December 18, 2020. The new dates for the holiday break will be December 21, 2020 through January 1, 2021.

Additionally, to accommodate any potential quarantine timelines for people traveling during the holiday, the School Board has decided to have school be remote for all students from January 4-8. All students will attend remote classes beginning on Monday, January 4, and ending Friday, January 8, 2021.
