Plans for Fall: Next Steps

The SRSD School Board voted to begin the 2020-2021 school year in a remote setting. The Board also voted to move the first day of school to September 8, 2020 to give teachers, staff and administrators additional time to prepare for the remote learning environment.

2020-21 Registration

Registration information and forms are now available online. The first step is to complete one of the notification of a new student form.  Click on the appropriate form depending on your child's grade they will be entering.

Note: Preschool students must be accepted into the program.  The lottery was held in January.

Donations for STEAM

Mrs. Klemarczyk is accepting donations for STEAM and has put a donation bin by the carport door (parent drop/off pick up area) on the left side of the building. Please deposit all donations in the bin.     

The DJ Bakie STEAM Lab is a dedicated learning environment for students to work together on unique problem-solving tasks that encourage critical and creative thinking and scientific inquiry.

Bakie School uses this app that allows parents & guardians to change how children are going home using the web-based system called PickUpPatrol. This software automates the dismissal process by allowing parents & guardians to submit plan changes through a convenient app on their smartphone. Upon registration, you will receive an email inviting you to join.  Please join within 7 days of receiving this email as the link will expire.  If you need a link, please call the main office.

New Secure Visitor Management System

 All visitors, volunteers, parents, guardians or anyone dismissing or signing in students will be required to have either a license or government issued ID.  Please be sure to have it with you before entering the school.

Incoming Kindergarten Pre-Registration

For those of you who might not be aware, there is a reconfiguration that will take place next school year (2020-2021). D.J. Bakie School in Kingston will be home to students in Pre-K through grade 3 and Memorial School will be home to students in grades 4 through 6.

If your child will be 5 years old by September 30, 2020 and you are a resident of either Kingston or Newton, NH, he or she should register for full day kindergarten for the 2020-2021 school year. View the news release for more information.
