"Learning for All in a Community of Caring"

Welcome to our Bakie School Community! PLEASE READ THROUGH THIS ENTIRE WEBPAGE

Registration must be done using a computer (doesn't work well on a mobile phone).  Please note that it takes 2-3 school days to process a student's registration once we receive ALL the required documents and much longer for kindergarten spring registrations due to the high number of registrations to be processed. Due to the volume of new registrations, we ask that kindergarten registrations be completed by May 1st.

Kindergarten Age Requirement: To be eligible for kindergarten, your child's birthday must be between 10/1/2018 and 9/30/2019.

Note to Bakie Preschool to Kindergarten Registrations:  If your child attends our preschool program and they are enrolling in kindergarten, you do not need to complete a new registration. During the late August timeframe, you will need to complete the Back-to-School Required Forms in Alma Start to update your child's information. To access your Alma account, click on https://sanborn.almastart.com. Sign in using your email address as your login.  If you forgot your password, click on forgot password to get a link to create a new one.

Step 1: Gather Forms to Attach to the Student Registration

Proof of Identity - The parent/guardian is to provide a photo ID

Birth Certificate - Please provide us with a copy of your child's original birth certificate. If your child was born in NH, you may obtain a birth certificate from your town office.

Proof of Residency - Proof of both residency and occupancy is required.

Evidence of Residency(current within 60 days): - Property tax bill, mortgage statement, lease agreement with dates and signatures, settlement document on a new home.

Evidence of Occupancy (must be dated and current): electric bill, cable bill, oil/gas bill

Please note that automobile registration, driver's licenses, or town residency forms are NOT accepted.

If you are living with a resident of Kingston or Newton, NH, that resident must provide the acceptable residency documentation listed above and complete a Residency Affidavit  Form which must be notarized by the Superintendent's office.  The Residency Affidavit will list all family members living at that address.  Please schedule an appointment by sending an email to Phyllis Kennedy at pkennedy@sau17.net to have your document notarized or call the SAU office at 603-642-3688—option 0.

Physical & Immunization Records - Each child is required to have a complete medical examination within one year before entry into school. NH Law requires all children to have had immunizations for DPT, Polio, Mumps, Measles, German Measles, Chicken Pox, and Hepatitis B before entry to school.  If your child has not had a physical exam within this time, you must make an appointment as soon as possible.  Your child will be allowed to enter school upon confirmation of the appointment.

Custody/Restraining Orders - It has become necessary for us to address the legal issue of custodial rights, restraining orders, etc.  If there is a restraining order or limited access rights against either parent, it is the responsibility of the custodial parent to supply us with a copy of the legal paperwork stating this.  This document will be placed on file until further notification. Please be advised that unless we have a copy of the legal documentation in our possession, we will release your child to either their natural parent or to anyone else to whom you give written permission.

We also need you to let us know of any changes in your parenting plan and provide us with an updated copy of the legal document.

Emergency Contacts - You will need to provide at least one emergency contact and phone number other than the parents if you cannot be reached.  You will also need to provide us with your child's doctor's and dentist's contact information.  Please note that parents are automatically called first in the event of an emergency.

Scanning Documents - Please scan documents before uploading (please do NOT take a picture); exception - Proof of identity (license) may be a photo (.jpg format).
