The Sanborn Voice
Sanborn Regional High School's monthly student newspaper
Journalism is a class that requires students to design, write, and produce pages for the school newspaper. Students will interview, write, edit, layout, and analyze the news. Students will read newspapers and view news broadcasts in preparation for class discussions. Students must be willing to work as a team much a like a real newsroom. Students will be responsible for covering school events and issues.

Editor-In-Chief As Editor-in-Chief of The Sanborn Voice, making sure that the final product is the best that it can be is my top priority. I focus primarily on the layout of each month’s issue, but I also look over all of the articles that the reporters and editors submit. I’m lucky enough to be able to write an editorial each month and I really enjoy doing it. This newspaper wouldn’t be the way it is today if it weren’t for the other editors and reporters. Their hard work and dedication is the reason that The Sanborn Voice has been successful this year. Every month, I try to raise the bar and make every issue better than the previous one. I’m really proud of the way that The Sanborn Voice has turned out, and I hope that I’m leaving a legacy that the journalism classes can use and improve upon for years to come. |

Co-Editor-In-Chief
As a co-editor-in-chief of the Sanborn Voice, I have several different jobs throughout the process of creating each paper. Whether it is brainstorming article ideas, writing features, creating ads, editing submitted articles, or helping map out the layout, it’s never hard to find something to work on and improve. My job is to contribute in any of these ways and to help the newspaper eventually become almost entirely student-run. Working hard as a reporter and being promoted to the position of co-editor-in-chief has pushed me to work my hardest and take pride in all the work we collectively put into this newspaper. |
Co-Editor-In-Chief
I am a co-editor-in-chief of the Sanborn Voice, the Sanborn Regional High School newspaper. The paper is a new thing started here at the school this year and I am glad to be a part of it. I have written articles and advertisements for the newspaper and love contributing. Now in this new position, I am here to help other reporters with their articles, edit them, and help with the layout for the finalization of the newspaper. Here at the Sanborn Voice, I love the creativity and the student progress we are all making. Eventually, the paper will be totally student run and we’ll be making advancements each month. This paper is a great growing progress and I am excited to be a part of it. |

Sports Editor
I am a junior at Sanborn Regional High School and the sports editor of the school newspaper. I am in charge of balancing the sports page with different stories and pictures as well as writing stories for the paper. I have written articles in many categories ranging from coaching feature stories to individual sport wrap-ups. I play sports each season and am captain of the school’s basketball team. I am planning on attending college for athletic training, sports management, or sports journalism. My fellow writers for the sports section are Brendan Daly and Steve DiPerri. |
Associate Editor
As associate editor on The Sanborn Voice, my responsibilities differ from issue to issue, dependent upon the various tasks at hand which need to be completed. My assigned tasks tend to include: conducting interviews, reporting stories, creating advertisements, presenting data and statistics, and editing the articles of my peers. The Sanborn Regional High School newspaper has undergone great transformation throughout this past school year which should be credited to the staff as a whole. The publication of The Sanborn Voice could not be possible without the dedication and hard work of the editors and reporters, as well as the original direction received from Sanborn High School’s journalism instructor, Mr. Martinelli. |
