foreverfitForever Fit means starting the day off on the right foot with yoga moves, pilates and dance-cardio.  Thirty plus Bakie students wake up early on Fridays to attend Forever Fit before school begins.  The students have a blast playing games like duck, duck yoga and dance wars.  Students find they have more energy and focus for the school day.

SRHS Key Club participated in the annual Penguin Plunge at Hampton Beach Saturday, February 4th.  The annual event raises money for the Special Olympics New Hampshire. 

lexieCongratulations to Lexie Basiliere!  Lexie was recently named one of twenty finalists from New Hampshire in the 2011 Wendy's High School Heisman Award Program. This award places Lexie among the top students in the nation.  The Wendy's High School Heisman is awarded in recognition of outstanding achievements in Athletics, Academics and Leadership  Lexie is a senior at SRHS.  Great job Lexie!

Congratulations to Annie Cotter and Shannon Emerson!  The Middle School held it's annual school-wide spelling bee where 34 contestants were chosen after competing in classroom spelling beesAfter an hour of competitive spelling, Annie Cotter emerged as this year's champion.  Shannon Emerson was the runner-up.  Annie will go on to compete in the New Hampshire Union Leader Spelling Bee later this winter.  Congratulations to both girls!  Good luck Annie!

Memorial School Student Council packed 34 cartons and shopping bags of non-perishable food, paper goods and toiletries for the senior citizens of Newton.   The Student Council officers, along with the Newton Police Department, delivered them to the community hall at Packer Meadows senior community.  They were accompanied by Sgt. Michael Jewett of the Newton PD, and Mr. VanderEls, Memorial Principal.
